Get Help Looking for a Job: Mobile Career Center to Visit Lansdowne Library

Access computers and online databases to help in your career search on Aug. 26 when the Mobile Career Center visits the Lansdowne Branch Library.

The center, part of Baltimore County Division of Workforce Development, "has six on-board PCs for use by job seekers, as well as job counselors from Workforce Development," according to the county's libraries newsletter "Datelines."

From 9 a.m. to noon, at the branch, 500 Third Avenue, Lansdowne, counselors will help search for jobs, write resumes, develop interview skills, enroll job seekers in Workforce programs, and teach how to search for a job and apply online, it states.

The mobile center visits other areas as well, including the Reisterstown Branch Library from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Aug. 16. Visit the newsletter for a schedule.

The closest, permanent Workforce Development Center is at 3637 Offutt Road in Randallstown.

That center, the Liberty Center, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The computer lab closes at 4 p.m.

For more information from the Liberty Center, call 410-887-8912, or visit the website.
