Rob Benson, Neighbor

Rob serves people as a life coach of sorts.  He is the Lead Pastor of Matt's House an edgy, adventurous, new church that strives to serve the community, cultivate deep-meaningful relationships and help people explore what it means to Follow Christ.  

Rob has been married to his beautiful wife, Allison Benson, for 21 years and they have two fantastically challenging kids: Jesse Lee and Faith Marie.  Rob has had a very interesting past as an Army Infantry Officer, Baltimore City Police Officer and most recently worked for Metro-Maryland Youth for Christ establishing youth outreach programs in Howard County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City.  He's lead mission teams to the Dominican Republic and into Baltimore City that have been a part of making our world and communities better.

Rob graduated from Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, MD; moved onto graduate school at the University of Baltimore earning his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; Rob completed the majority of his work on a Master of Divinity at Capitol Bible Seminary and is completing the last few credit hours through Logo's University.

Some people close to Rob would characterize him as a little crazy, but very REAL.  As a cancer survivor the term Status Quo is not in Rob's vocabulary he constantly challenges people to engage in living the life they were intended to live, lives that make the world a better place.
