Ken Kovacs is pastor at Catonsville Presbyterian Church and has lived in the Catonsville area since 1999.  Before moving to Baltimore he served congregations in St. Andrews, Scotland, and in Mendham, NJ.

Ken has written and preached widely on Christianity, Reformed theology, church practice, psycho-spirituality, and the intersection of religious faith and contemporary life.  He majored in religion and history at Rutgers College, studied theology at Yale Divinity School, specialized in practical theology at Princeton Theological Seminary, and received his Ph.D. in practical theology from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.  He is the author of The Relational Theology of James E. Loder:  Encounter and Conviction (New York:  Peter Lang, 2011), and his sermons can be read at On the Way (www.kekovacs.blogspot.com).

He is currently working on a number of projects, including the theological legacy of World War I, as well as a study of what the Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung has to say to contemporary Christian experience, exploring the correlation of psychology and theology.

The perspectives expressed here are entirely his own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Catonsville Presbyterian Church or the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
