I am originally from Milwaukee, WI and moved here to attend Loyola University where I received a degree in Accounting. I was in the Daley Debutauntes Baton & Drum Corps and competed all over the country with the group winning several local and national titles with the corps. As a solo competitive baton twirler, I also was successful and placed very high at nationals. In college, I also rowed crew, and played soccer.  I also attended Towson University for a couple of years and twirled for the marching band at football games. After college, I got married and got involved in group fitness and personal training. I am a certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Yoga Instructor. Although, I have hip problems, I do my best to stay in shape. I have worked in corporate America and been a stay at home mom too. I used to be a La Leche League leader and supported breast feeding moms. I also, formerly, owned my dance studio and gym, offering dance, baton, and some fitness classes. I closed due to the economy but I definitely want to do it again in the next few years. I am currently a baton twirling judge and the Director of the TwirlTasTix, a baton twirling and dance group. I started the group in 2008 and we are a non-profit organization. We offer classes in dance and baton as well as competitive teams. We compete, perform and march all over. Several of our teams placed top ten in the Advanced Team Championships this past July at Notre Dame University in South Bend, IN. In my pursuit to grow as a coach, I have also become an avid sports psychology fan. I have spoken at several camps to help athletes with mind training and sports psychology issues.

Part of me and my experiences are based on my wonderful family. So I must include a bit about them if you want to understand me.

I am married over 20 years, (I was a child bride) and have four beautiful children that are all very active and accomplished in sports and the arts. My husband is the sweetest person and my best friend. And we never fight, ....haha.  My oldest son is currently a junior in high school, and is an award winning artist and plays for a high level club lacrosse team. He is hoping to play in college and pursue fine arts and architecture (maybe). My younger son is a freshman in high school and has very little idea of what he wants to be when he grows up, but he plays on the BLC - Crabs team and already has been getting invitations for college recruiting camps, so hopefully he will have some good oppotuinities. My older daughter is in sixth grade and wants to own a cell phone company when she grows up because that is her favorite thing to do, as is with most middle schoolers. She is a former national baton twirling champion and recently placed top 15 at nationals, and she plays soccer and lacrosse and takes gymnastics. My youngest daughter is in first grade and just loves everything.  She secretly thinks she is a teenager but tries very hard to cover it up and act like a first-grader. It is hard work keeping up with all her successful older siblings but she makes sure we all know she is front and center. She does baton twirling, dance, gymnastics and soccer.

Yes, I am a bit of a Tiger-mom, but I try to keep it all in perspective. Based on how our kids are developing, I think we are doing ok.
