Martini? Cosmo? Vodka tonic? Let us know where you get your drink on.
It may a pink and “girly” Cosmo or a martini (shaken, not stirred). The Bartender’s Black Book and other cocktail recipe tomes have thousands of recipes for drinks you’ve probably never encountered. Patch is on the hunt for the spot with the best cocktails. Maybe the cocktail menu is extensive, maybe the bartender can make absolutely anything you want. Let us know! Overwhelming majority chose Arbutus landmark restaurant.
Arbutus Patch readers have spoken--and voted. By a clear majority, with 60 percent of the votes, Paul's Restaurant was chosen as their favorite sandwich shop in the Arbutus area. The pub on a hill on Benson Avenue wins as your favorite place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Arbutus.
Everybody's Irish on St. Paddy's Day, right? Well, perhaps they're a wee bit more so at Fish Head Cantina, the spot that readers picked as their favorite place to celebrate on March 17 in the greater Arbutus area. Fans say it's a bar in the truest sense of the word, offering live music, pool, busy bartenders, and even a beer garden. And, it's not just for locals, which can be both good and bad, depending on your point of view. City Paper described the decor thusly: "The place has sort of a Key West/Margaritaville meets NASCAR on the Eastern Shore décor." Who has the best breakfast in the Arbutus area? Our readers have an answer.
Our inaugural Readers' Choice contest kicked off this week with a hunt for the best place to kick off your day. Okay, who does have the best breakfast in town? The experts have spoken, and they say: Paul's Restaurant, which took 54 out of 106 votes. As one of our readers put it on comments: Pancakes are out of this world at Paul's. The eggs are done perfectly to specification. The coffee is never too hot nor too cold. My friends and family all think that Paul’s is the best eats in Arbutus. My children's favorite suggested place to go have breakfast. The staff love kids and are very kid friendly. Lastly, Paul's has free WI-Fi for all too.
