The Baltimore Orioles are reportedly calling up a homegrown arm. MASN reports right-handed pitcher Zach Clark, a University of Maryland, Baltimore County graduate, is en route from Triple-A Norfolk to Seattle and will be recalled by the Orioles. The Orioles are in the middle of a three-game series there against the Mariners. Clark, 29, is already on the Orioles' 40-man roster, but a move will have to be made to get him on the active 25-man roster. The pitcher signed with the Orioles in 2006 as an undrafted free agent. He agreed to terms in a UMBC parking lot, according to the MASN report. In eight seasons in the minors, Clark is 50-46 with a 3.71 ERA. Clark isn't the only local to don the black and orange lately. Zach Clark got the win for the Orioles in their spring training opener on Saturday.
Former UMBC pitcher Zach Clark got off to a good start with the Orioles in spring training Saturday when he earned the win in the team's first exhbition game. Clark threw a scoreless top of the eighth inning, and the game was tied 3-3 when Trayvon Robinson hit a game-winning two-run homer for Baltimore in the bottom half. That made Clark the pitcher of record, and he got the win when the Orioles held on for the 5-3 victory over the Twins. The Orioles used nine different pitchers in the game as manager Buck Showalter took a look at several players. Clark finally made the 40-man roster last fall, and it will be interesting to see what kind of a look he gets from the team. Clark graduated from UMBC in 2006 and signed with the Orioles as an …

Barbosa has totaled 204 points in three seasons with 64 rebounds and 31 assists. The sharp-shooter has hit 35-percent of his three-pointers in his three seasons with the club.
