Save-A-Lot is holding a second job event this week, and will be accepting applications and interviewing prospective employees on Feb. 23-24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the store's district manager, Joseph Reiser. About 100 people were interviewed during a job fair held Jan. 23-24, with about 20 people called back for second interviews at the store, Reiser said. By its grand opening in March, Save-A-Lot will have 15 to 20 full-and part-time workers hired primarily from the neighborhood, according to Reiser. Curious residents are also welcome to stop by the store, he said.
