Bridge Will Be Installed At Halethorpe MARC Station Starting Friday

MTA will do the work late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

The Maryland Transit Administration announced this week that it's going to install a 40-ton bridge for pedestrians at the Halethorpe MARC Train Station starting late Friday night. The 80-foot steel bridge's installation is the last part of the $21 million renovation project, something that's going to temporarily block abouit 200 parking spaces, according to a news release. The MTA said in the release that train traffic's going to be halted while a heavy-duty crane actually lowers the bridge down into the correct position.  In addition, the MTA said the bridge is scheduled for a 1:30 a.m. installation on Saturday.  Officially, the MTA said that a 550-ton crane is going to be set up in the Station's west side parking lot to "hoist an 80-foot…

They just grab a few shovels and spray paint them. Afterwards they toss them back onto the truck. Paint is pretty much gone in a couple of weeks.   more ›
