Arbutus Crime: Gasoline, Gas Cans, Car Batteries Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Arbutus Carroll Place, 5000 block. Between 10 a.m. Oct. 28 and 2:30 p.m., Nov 14. A burglar stole full gasoline cans from inside a shed. Hammonds Ferry Road, 3200 block. Between 2 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 a.m., Nov. 11. A burglar cut the fence to Penske Truck Rental and took 63 car batteries from the back of a truck. 3rd Avenue, 200 block. At 11:42 p.m., Nov. 13. A burglar tried to break into the home through a side window, but the resident was able to scare the suspect away. Halethorpe Bero Road, 3000 block. 11 p.m., Nov. 15. The ex-boyfriend of a resident came into his ex-girlfriend's house by using a key. He allegedly "made several threats and left when he realized that she had texted her mother to call the police. Santa Breakfasts in Arbutus and Violetville

Jolliness takes precedence over dietary guidelines.

With no apparent concern for sleigh weight limits, Santa Claus was observed eating breakfast twice in the greater Arbutus area Saturday morning. Scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, and a variety of breakfast meats and baked goods were served at Town Hall by members of the Arbutus Community Association. Sources also report to Arbutus Patch that Santa was observed at the breakfast served at the Violetville Volunteer Fire Department.
