City Youth Charged in Baltimore Highlands Assault

A 16-year-old East Baltimore youth is being charged as an adult for an assault in Baltimore Highlands that sent a 39-yea -old victim to the hospital with skull fractures, according to police. Police charged Alfredo Lopez, of the 200-block of Chapel Street in Baltimore, with first-degree assault. At around 4:51 a.m. on March 18, Lopez attacked a 39-year-old man in front of a residence on the 4000-block of Twin Circle Way in Baltimore Highlands, police said. According to police, Lopez punched and kicked the victim's head and face. The police report indicates that offices believed the victim sustained fractures of the skull and orbital region around the eye. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
