<p>Organized in 1906, the Violetville Volunteer Fire Department provides fire suppression and EMS services to Violetville as well as the surrounding areas of Arbutus, Catonsville, Halethorpe, Lansdowne, English Consul, Westview and Woodlawn. VVFD also runs mutual aid into Howard and Anne Arundel counties, and Baltimore City.</p> <p>The firehouse, located on Benson Avenue, also has a banquet hall that is available for special occasions.</p>
