LANDOVER-- Mount St. Joseph again showed that its got plenty of talent, but the Gaels came up a little short in Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association indoor track championship meet.
In the varsity, Charles Fisher and Landrie Hatcher led the way to the team's fourth-place finish. Fisher won the 55-meter hurdles and finished second in the long jump.
Hatcher won the triple jump and also took second in the 55 hurdles and third in the long jump to give St. Joe three top-three finishes.
Doug Neary (second, shot put), Cory Reitterer (third, pole vault) and Dominic Genuario (third, 1,600) added three more top-three efforts.
In JV, the Gaels got a number of good performances. Todd Skintges won the 800, and the St. Joe took first in the 1,600 relay.
Thomas White (high jump), Antoine Means (55 hurdles), Matt Chaundy (3,200), Lukas Alcaraz (pole vault) and the 800-relay team all turned in second-place finishes.
Christian Harris took third in the 55 hurdles, and the Gaels also got a third-place finish in the 3,200 relay.
