Accomplishment: As he’s done for the Comets for virtually all of 2011, Moran led his unit offensively, scoring both of his team’s goals in Catonsville’s 2-1 victory over an impressive Dulaney squad that entered the contest at 7-1.

Moran’s first goal tied the game at one apiece early on in the second half and the speedy striker pumped in his second score with three minutes into the sudden death overtime to give the Comets the win and a sterling 7-2 overall record on the season.

Although his 10 goals on the year are tops for any Comet, head coach Vic Vega described Moran as a “very unselfish player that makes everyone around him better.”

Learning soccer growing up in El Salvador, Moran’s skills are very polished and he posses the kind of feel for the game that one can only acquire over time.

“He’s very good at taken on defenders one-on-one and creating space to shoot, which he can do with both feet,” Vega said.
