Newt Joins the Cast of "Who Is The Biggest Wingnut?"

The circus that is called the GOP nominating process has just gotten even more wild.

As reported, GOP presidential contenders, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Michele Bachmann have all signed on for the Don's newest reality show that could be called "Who Is the Biggest Wingnut?"

Donald Trump, perhaps the world's richest and best known clown, will moderate a GOP debate in Iowa a week before that state's January 3, 2012, caucus.  The circus is being hosted by Newsmax, who, unbelievably, is even more misinforming than Fox News.

The big question everyone is asking is why would Newt jump hoops at center stage for the Don?  (No one seems to wonder why Rick and Michele are performing.)  I don't think there is any big secret why Newt is participating in this "debate".  He has to win over as much as the wingnut (or, as some call them, Tea Party) vote as possible in order to win the GOP nomination.  And with Herman Cain out of the race, it is anyone's guess who those logically challenged will flock to.

It will be interesting to see if Mitt Romney succumbs and answers the call of the wild and joins in the Don's act.  In any event, the participants will surely be tripping over each other to say the most outrageous statements against everything from President Obama to how God speaks to them directly and gives them clear orders on which direction our country should move in.  It will be entertaining if nothing else.
