Lansdowne Student Identified as Shooting Victim

Keon Andre Dobbs, 17, was killed Tuesday afternoon in Baltimore Highlands.

Baltimore County Police have identified the victim of a shooting Tuesday afternoon as 17-year-old Keon Andre Dobbs.

Dobbs, who lived on the unit-block of Birdknoll Court in Baltimore Highlands, was a student at Lansdowne High School.

According to police, Dobbs was among a group of people who walked to the area near Songbird Circle and McDowell Lane to fight another group of people. One of the youths pulled out a gun and shot Dobbs once in the upper body.

Dobbs ran about 200 yards towards his home and collapsed just outside the front door. Paramedics transported Dobbs to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Lansdowne High School dismisses students at 2:15 p.m.. According to police, the call for the shooting came in around 2:25 p.m.

Dismissal times for Baltimore Highlands Elementary School and Lansdowne Middle school were delayed because of the incident.

Police have spoken with several witnesses and persons of interest. The case is still under investigation.
