Teens Invited to Arbutus Gaming, Pizza Wars

The Arbutus Library's last teen video gaming session until fall will also include a pizza judging contest.

The Arbutus Library staff is throwing a last hurrah for its teen video gaming program, which concludes its season Tuesday.

The last session of the popular teen activity, which begins at 3:30 p.m., will involve both game and pizza wars when the group plays games, enjoys some free pizza and judges the pies in a variety of categories, according to circulation assistant Lisa Risavi.

Seven of eight local pizzerias will donate cheese pizzas for the event. Teen judges will vote on which establishment has the best crust, best sauce, best cheese and best overall pie, Risavi said in an email to Patch.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the results because there really are so many local places available and best price sure doesn't mean best taste," Risavi said in  the email.

While teens don't need to sign up for the gaming session, just five pizza judge slots remain.

Interested pizza lovers should call the library, 410-887-1451, Ext. 130, to sign up for Pizza Wars.

The gaming program offers a variety of Wii and Xbox games.

Pizza Wars will send the program off on break until it resumes in the fall, according to Risavi.
