MARC Halethorpe Station Project on Track
Platforms complete; work begins on towers to connect accessible elevated walkway over tracks.
Progress on the remains on track. The two elevated 700-foot platforms have been cast, and work has begun on building two elevator-equipped towers that will connect an accessible walkway over the tracks.
According to officials at the Maryland Transit Administration, the noisiest and most disruptive portion of the project is finished. A retaining wall along Potomac Avenue, in an area that will become a Kiss & Ride, has been completed.
The $21 million project is scheduled for completion in 2013.
