MARC Halethorpe Groundbreaking Back on Track

Postponed ceremony back on schedule for April 4.

The on-again, off-again groundbreaking for the long-awaited $21 million Halethorpe MARC station is back on the schedule for April 4.

After initial news coverage of the construction, Maryland Transit Administration abruptly announced that the groundbreaking was indefinitely postponed.

Scratch that, said MTA spokesperson Terry Owens. Everything's go for April 4.

"There were some delays due to scheduling conflicts," Owens said. "These have been resolved, and the groundbreaking is on."
