County Library Launches Summer Reading Program
County executive Kamenetz, Sneaks the library mascot on hand for Relay Elementary students.
County executive Kevin Kamenetz and the county library system’s mascot, Sneaks, were on hand at the Arbutus Branch library Friday morning to launch Baltimore County Public Library’s Summer Reading Club.
A third-grade class from nearby Relay Elementary School listened enthusiastically while Kamenetz read from Barbara Robinson’s The Best School Year Ever.
Sneaks accepted a proclamation from Kamenetz commemorating today in his honor. Aside from reading club t-shirts, the children each received a gift of Robinson’s book to find out how it ends.
