W-2's are in and the Internal Revenue Service is officially accepting 2012 tax forms.
Need help putting your 1040 together? The Community College of Baltimore County will be offering free help from its accounting students at its Essex and Catonsville campuses between now and the IRS filing deadline on April 15.
No appointment is needed, but participants must have an annual income of $60,000 or less. In a news release, CCBC asked interested taxpayers to bring all 2012 tax records, Social Security cards for filers and their dependents, W-2 and other income forms, a copy of their most recent tax return and direct deposit information.
“CCBC has offered a free tax clinic for more than 25 years," Paul Coakley, chair of Business and Management Studies at CCBC, said in a news release. It has provided practical accounting experience for our students and allowed our community clients to see how their taxes are being prepared."
The tax assistance will be offered at the following times and locations, according to CCBC.
