Woman Robbed at Lansdowne Station Traffic Light
Incident involving 27-year-old English Consul woman occurred March 16.

A 27-year-old English Consul woman was robbed at gunpoint while stopped at a traffic light on the 3600-block of Washington Boulevard, near Lansdowne Shopping Center, according to police.
At around 1:37 p.m. on March 16, while sitting at a traffic light the woman was approched by a suspect who asked her for a cigarette, police said. When the woman said that she did not have one, the suspect opened the driver's door and placed a black handgun to her side and rummaged through her purse, according to police.

The suspect took the woman's Newport cigarettes and Xanax medication, as well as $1,160 in cash, and then entered the passenger side of a blue Dodge Neon and fled, according to police.
The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, who was nicely groomed with a mustache and beard, wearing a black hoodie, police said. No description of the driver of the Dodge Neon was available.
