Store Owner Thwarts Armed Robbery

Suspect walks off after intended victim ducked behind counter.

An armed robber walked away empty handed after trying to hold up a liquor store on the 4000 block of Annapolis Road in Baltimore Highlands, according to police.

At around 9:45 p.m., a man with a ski mask over his face walked into Woodman's Liquors, pointed a black handgun at the worker behind the counter, and demanded money, police said.

The intended victim ducked down behind the counter and told the suspect that he was calling the police, according to officials.

The suspect fled on foot, police said. No arrests have been made.
