Second Gunman Sought in Halloween Triple Shooting

Suspects sought in addition to teenager charged with murder

At least one additional gunman is being sought by police in the fatal October 31 triple shooting in Baltimore Highlands that left a 16-year-old dead and two others admitted to the trauma center with bullet wounds.

on the 100-block of Twin Circle Way, near one end of a footbridge over Baltimore-Washington Parkway that connects Baltimore Highlands with Cherry Hill.

When police arrived at the scene, 16-year-old Dequan Burks was found dead on the sidewalk.

Police later determined that there were two additional victims. Trekwan Woodward, 15, was driven by a friend to Harbor Hospital and then transferred to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Imean Abdullah Shaheed, 18, was transported to Shock Trauma by ambulance.

On November 9, , 17, of the 1800-block of N. Bentalou Street in Baltimore. Matthews is being charged as an adult with Burks' murder.

Information suggests that one or more additional people involved in the shooting may still be at large.

At a recent community association meeting, a Baltimore County officer said that police know the identity of an additional gunman suspected of involvement in the October 31 shooting.

Other police sources said that two or more other suspects may be linked to the shooting in addition to Matthews.

At least one of the suspected gunmen wore a Hellraiser mask, according to police.

Baltimore County Police spokesperson Lt. Robert McCullough would not confirm or deny the number of suspects linked to the October 31 shooting. "It's an ongoing investigation," he said.
