Police Seek to Grill Grille-Wearing Suspect

We Patch editors get alerts and releases from the police on a daily basis--Amber or Silver alerts, requests for the public's help in solving a crime, safety tips, etc. Sometimes the emails include a mug shot, surveillance video still image or police artist sketch.

But yesterday was something different: A set of teeth, or more accurately a diamond-studded grille worn by a suspect in a Nov. 1 sexual assault in Woodlawn.

The cropped grille image provided by Baltimore County police is a detail that is so...Baltimore.

According to police, the incident happened at around 3 p.m. A 15-year-old female walking on the 1800-block of Woodlawn Drive when four males in a teal-colored four-door sedan approached. Two of the suspects wore ski masks.

One of the unmasked suspects pulled a handgun and forced the victim into the front seat of the car, where they covered her eyes and drove her to an unknown location, where she was sexually assaulted.

The suspects include as a black male, 5’8” tall, of medium build with a medium complexion. The second suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, of slim build with a light complexion and hazel eyes. He was wearing a grille studded with diamonds or rhinestones on his front teeth.
