Police Investigate Report of Assault, Rape at Motel

Baltimore County police are investigating a case in which a man entered a motel room on the 3700 block of Washington Boulevard and raped and physically assaulted a woman.

Baltimore County police spokesman Lt. Robert McCullough said the incident occurred Saturday between 7 and 9 p.m. Reports did not specify in which motel the incident occurred, McCullough said.

“She woke up and found an unknown suspect in the room with her, and the suspect assaulted her and then raped her,” he said.

McCullough said it was unknown whether there were signs that the suspect broke into the motel room.

The suspect, described as a white male about 38 years old, 5-feet-11 and 200 pounds, fled the motel on foot after the assault, McCullough said.

The woman was transported to St. Agnes Hospital, where she was treated and released, he said.

Police are investigating the case as a first-degree rape, a felony in Maryland.
