Police Blotter: Metal Thief Leaves Tools at Scene

The following is based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

June 25: At some time since 7 p.m. on June 22, an unknown person removed 4,000 feet of copper piping from a construction site on the 700 block of Maiden Choice Lane, with a value of $12,242. The suspect may have impersonated a construction site employee.

June 26: At some time since 1 p.m. the previous day, an unknown person entered the yard of a residence on the 3000 block of Lousiana Ave. in Baltimore Highlands and took a chain saw, drill and circular saw from a shed. A laptop computer was also taken from a car parked in front of the residence.

June 27: At 4:30 p.m., a resident on the unit block of Twin Circle Way in Lansdowne confronted an unknown suspect who pushed open a window and entered the residence. After being confronted in the kitchen, the suspect fled the scene.

July 3: At some time since 1 p.m. the previous day, an unknown person cut through the fence of a lawn care company on the 3600 block of Washington Blvd. in Lansdowne and attempted to steal several scrap lawn mowers. The lawn mowers were found outside the fence and recovered.

July 5: At some time since 5 p.m. the previous day, an unknown suspect entered the locked fenced property of a business on the 3800 block of Washington Blvd and took six steel poles, four marine batteries and 300 feet of aluminum gutters. A wrench set left behind was collected as evidence.
