Police Blotter: Burglaries in the Area

The following is based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

Oct. 7: Between 9:32-10:18 p.m., a former employee of a business on the 4000 block of Coolidge Ave. in Arbutus entered the property by climbing over a fence. The suspect destroyed windows and a rear panel door and stole unknown property. He was observed on surveillance video climbing back over the fence and was headed southbound on Coolidge pushing a shopping cart. Charges have not yet beel filed against the suspect.

Oct. 8: At around 3 p.m., the owner of a vacant home on the 300 block of Bigley Ave. in Lansdowne discovered that an unknown couple have been living in the home.

Oct. 9: At some time since 5:30 p.m. the previous evening, an unknown suspect gained entry to the fenced lot of property owned by Baltimore County Public Schools on the 4800 block of Hollins Ferry Road in Halethorpe. The suspect pried open the doors of two sheds and a Coca Cola machine. All that could be determined as stolen was an unknown amount of money from the soda machine.

Oct. 9: At some time since 4 p.m. of the previous day, an unknown person broke into a shed on the 5600 block of Oregon Ave. in Arbutus and took a chain saw.

Oct. 9: At 7:39 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the fenced parking lot of a business on the 1400 block of Parker Rd. in Violetville and took a catalytic converter.

Oct. 10: Between midnight and 9:07 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the garage of a residence on the 4100 block of Old Washington Blvd. in Halethorpe and took a dirt bike.

Oct. 10: At some time since 11 p.m. of the previous evening, an unknown person attempted to break into the food stand adjacent to Arbutus Middle School on the 5500 block of Shelboune Rd. in Arbutus by prying open the door and drilling the lock on the door. The suspect damaged the door but did not gain entry to the structure.

Oct. 10: At some time since 11 p.m. on Oct. 7, an unknown person pried the latch off a shed on the 1800 block of Sutton Ave. in St. Denis and stole a weed trimmer and a leaf blower.
