Police Blotter: Arrest in Frederick Road Robbery

Man Arrested for Robbing Rite Aid at Gunpoint
Baltimore County police have arrested a man and charged him with the Aug. 19 robbery of Rite Aid on the 6400-block of Frederick Road in Paradise.

According to police, at around 5:45 p.m. a man entered the drug store bearing a silver revolver and demanded that the cashier empty the cash registers.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money, and he fled in a silver two-door car headed southbound on Paradise Avenue.

Police located the vehicle and kept it under surveillance. When the suspect approached the car, he was arrested.

Stolen Car Recovered from Hillcrest Park Pond
The discovery of a 2001 Chrysler Voyager van in the pond in Hillcrest Park in Baltimore Highlands on the morning of Aug. 23 led police to send divers to search for a body.

No body was found, and police learned that the van had been stolen from an address on Carville Avenue in Arbutus on Aug. 22.

According to Lt. John Rossbach, of Precinct 1/Wilkens, this is the third time a stolen vehicle has been dumped in the Hillcrest Park pond in the last two years.

Woman Sexually Assaulted in Arbutus
At around 2 a.m. on Aug 19, a woman reported being sexually assaulted on the 4900-block of Shelbourne Road in Arbutus.

The woman had been picked up by a man with whom she agreed to have sex for an amount of money. The man drove her to Shelbourne, and when she asked for money he held a knife to her throat and sexually assaulted her. The victim did not receive payment.

Police found the victim reponding to a disturbance call on the 4700-block of Westland Boulevard. She was not treated for any injuries.

Adult and Two Juveniles Arrested for Baltimore Highlands Burglary
One adult and two juveniles were arrested when police responded to a burglary call on the 2700-block of Virginia Avenue in Baltimore Highlands. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16.

Delon Lamonte Kiser, 19, of the 1600-block of Manning Road in Edgemere, has been charged with fourth degree murglary. Kiser and two juveniles also charged by police were apprehended when they ran out the front door of a vacant home. Police are still looking for two other juvenile suspects.

Crimes in the Area
Aug. 15: At around 1:26 a.m., two men walking on Fenor Road near Norfen Road in Baltimore Highlands were approached by a man with a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded that they empty their pockets. The two victims ran in different directions, with one pursued briefly until the gunman gave up and fled in an unknown direction.

Aug. 17: At 9 a.m., it was discovered that an unknown person had broken into a storage building at Hill Crest Park on the 700-block of Third Avenue in Lansdowne and stolen two shelves and a cabinet.

Aug. 20: At around 4 p.m., a man working on a vacant property that he owns on the 1200-block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus was startled by a stanger on his front porch. After a conversation with the stranger, the property owner discovered that his wallet was missing from the kitchen counter. The front door had been left open while he was at the rear of the property.
