Easton Man Charged With Stealing from Halethorpe Cemetery

Frank Dave Hardester, 30, of the 1700-block of Lisbon Drive in Easton, was charged by Baltimore County police with stealing 28 brass name plaques from United Hebrew Cemetery on the 3900-block of Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe.

According to police, the plaques were stolen on the afternoon of Sept. 8. Hardester had tried to sell the plaques in Baltimore City. He has been charged with fourth degree burglary, and the plaques were returned to the cemetery.

Home Invasion Reported in Riverview

Residents of a home on the 800-block of Fifth Avenue in Riverview reported an armed home invasion on Sept. 4.

According to police, at around 2:50 a.m., two men kicked in the front door of a residence and began looking for a person. The victims, who knew the suspects as acquantances, pretended to be asleep.

After an unsuccessful search, the suspects fled the premises. There were no injuries.

Burglaries in the Area

Sept. 4: Police received a report of a burglary on the 1700-block of Rittenhouse in Bloomfield at around 9:30 a.m. The house had burned on Sept. 2. When the homeowner returned on Sept. 4 to retrieve property, it was discovered that laptop computers had been taken.

Sept. 5: Sometime between 9-11:30 a.m., a motor scooter was taken from a driveway on the 4300-block of Spencer Street in Halethorpe.

Sept. 6: Sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., an unknown person broke into a residence on the 2800-block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Baltimore Highlands through a basement door and took two teelvision sets, cash, and a purse.

Sept. 7: Sometime between 9 a.m and 2 p.m. the previous day, an unknown person broke into a vacant house by removing the doorknobs and deadbolt lock from the front door and stole several tools from the location.

Sept. 7: Sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., an unknown person entered a home on the 4400-block of Spring Avenue in Halethorpe through a second-floor rear window and took several items, including a 65-inch television set, and exited through the front door.

Sept. 7: Sometime between 3 and 5 p.m., an unknown person broke into a residence on the 600-block of Fifth Avenue in Riverview through a rear window and took a television set, four boxes of tools, and a vacuum cleaner before leaving through the rear door.
