Here's some of the recent law enforcement activity in the Greater Arbutus area.

Apr. 24: At around 2 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at a home on the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue in Baltimore Highlands. An unknown person went into the victim’s yard and took an 8-foot-long aluminum bender worth about $600.

Apr. 27: At around 8 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at Carter Paving and Excavation on the 4300 block of Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe. An unknown person removed several metal items, including batteries, metal poles, concrete forms, chains and car parts with a total value of more than $10,000.

Apr. 27: At around 5:30 p.m., police received a report of a burglary at a home on the 600 block of Plymouth Road in Catonsville. At some time since the previous day, an unknown person had opened and unlocked a window and took a laptop computer. No other property was taken.

Apr. 27: At around 11:35 p.m., police received a report of a robbery and invasion at a motel on the 3700 block of Washington Boulevard in Lansdowne. Two people entered a room occupied by a brother and sister, who were asleep at the time. The suspects were described as a white male and a black male, both 25-30 years old and dressed in all black clothing. The white male had a silver knife and the black male had a black gun. Several items were taken from the victims, and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Apr. 29: At 11:30 a.m., police received a report of a bomb threat at Community College of Baltimore County. A call was received at the school’s counseling and advisory office, in which what sounded like a black female voice said, “There’s a bomb ready to go off in CCBC.” The caller sounded upset and hysterical, and repeated the message two more times before hanging up the phone. Security offices searched the building. No bomb or suspicious device was found. The investigation into the call is continuing.

Apr. 29: At around 12:30 p.m., a burglary was reported at a vacant home on the 400 block of Oella Avenue in Oella. At some point since the previous day, an unknown person entered the house and took a weed trimmer.

Apr. 29: At around 11:35 p.m. police received report of an armed robbery at a shopping center on the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike. After the night manager of Dollar Tree had closed up for the night, he was walking an employee to his car to drive her home. The employee entered the passenger side, and as the night manager was walking around his car to the driver’s side he was approached by two black males who took his wallet and the store’s bank deposit bag. The suspects were described as 25-30 years old and about 5-foot-6. One was about 150 pounds and the other weighed about 120 pounds. Both men wore a black scarf over the face, black turtleneck shirts, and jeans. Both men carried black guns. After taking the manager’s wallet and the bank deposit bag, the suspects fled on foot into the woods south of the Dollar Store. They were not located despite the efforts of K-9 dogs and the aviation unit.

Apr. 30: At 10:40 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at a home on the 1900 block of Brady Avenue in Halethorpe. Sometime between shortly after midnight and 10:40 a.m., an unknown person entered the home through an unlocked side window and took a 36” television set and a glass table with brass fittings, worth a total of $900.

Apr. 30: At 9:45 p.m, police received a report of an attempted burglary at a home on the 600 block of Meyers Drive in Catonsville. The resident had left the home at 2:30 p.m., and upon return home at 9:45 discovered the garage door off the ground and at an odd angle. Police discovered pry marks on the garage door. Nothing was taken from the garage or home.
