One Sent to Shock Trauma After Collision Near Levering Avenue in Elkridge

One person was taken to the shock trauma unit after a collision on Washington Boulevard in Elkridge Wednesday evening, said police.

Officials received a call that two vehicles were involved in a collision on Route 1 at Levering Avenue at 6:56 p.m., according to the police dispatch center.

One person was transported by ground to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No further information was available.

The and Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene of the crash between a Dodge Dakota and white Nissan sedan.

Northbound lanes on Washington Boulevard were closed at Levering, and vehicles detoured through Main Street, until approximately 7:45 p.m.
