Juveniles Charged in Footbridge Robbery

45-year-old Baltimore Highlands resident robbed on Baltimore-Washington Parkway Bridge on July 28.

Three juveniles were arrested and charged with the July 28 robbery of a Baltimore Highlands man on the footbridge over the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, according to police.

At around 11:20 a.m., the victim, who lives on the 4200 block of McDowell Lane, was walking across the footbridge when he was approached by three juvenile suspects, police said.

One of the suspects asked the victim for a dollar, according to police. When the victim refused, the suspect reached into the victim's pocket and took his wallet containing $120, police said.

Another suspect punched the victim in the face, and then the group of juveniles left the bridge, according to police.

The victim followed the suspects and observed them enter a residence on the 3700 block of McDowell Lane, according to police. The victim called police, and the juveniles were arrested and charged with robbery.
