Juvenile Sexually Assaulted in Arbutus

A fifteen-year-old Arbutus girl was sexually assaulted while walking home with her cousin on the 4700 block of Westland Boulevard on April 12, according to police.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. as the girls were walking home from the park at Maiden Choice School, police said.

While they were walking, they were approached and followed by an unknown suspect, who tried to coax the victim into following him, according to police. When the victim refused, the suspect began pulling her by the arm and clothing and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect fled when the victim screamed for help, according to police.

The suspect was described as a male about 15 years old, about 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds with a medium build, who had light skin and curly black hair.
