Fire Set at Lansdowne High School Shed

The torched shed at the high school is one of two similar arsons in Lansdowne, police said.

One of three sheds broken into on the property of Lansdowne High School was set afire between Aug. 17-20 in an incident similar to the arson of a snowball stand on the 3800 block of Hollins Ferry Road, according to police.

At some time between noon on Aug. 17 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20, an unknown person broke into three sheds at Lansdowne High School, police said. Two of the sheds were ransacked and the kitchen area of the snack shack was destroyed by fire, according to police.

Property taken from the sheds was found nearby, police said.

According to police, the incident was similar to the arson of a trailer that was being used as a snowball stand on the 3800 block of Hollins Ferry Road. That fire was set some time between 8 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 7:40 a.m. on Aug. 20, police said.

The police said that they have no suspects in either incident.
