Fire-Rescue Log: Collision on Linden Avenue

During the period Mar. 4-11, AVFD received 55 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Mar. 5: At 5:40 p.m., a chimney fire was reported on the 1100-block of Gary Drive in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to find a fire that had self-extinguished.

Mar. 6: At 106 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on the 1200-block of Linden Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.

Mar. 8: At 4:59 p.m., a dwelling fire with people trapped was reported on the 400-block of Harwood Road in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded and extinguished the fire. One seriously injured person was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center.

Mar. 9: At 12:49 a.m., an unconscious person was reported at UMBC. Crews from the AVFD responded and transported one seriously ill person to a local hospital.
