Crash Blocks Lansdowne Intersection

Three cars involved in incident near Lansdowne Station that sent four people to area hospitals.

A three-car collision at Washington Boulevard and Commerce Drive in Lansdowne on the evening of Feb. 13 sent four people to the hospital and temporarily shut down a busy intersection near Lansdowne Station Shopping Center, according to police.

The incident happened at around 5:55 p.m. on Monday, police said.

Two victims were trapped in the wreckage and were extricated within 30 minutes, according to police. They were transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center by ambulance.

Two other victims were transported by ambulance to an area hospital, police said.

Details about the crash and the identities of the victims involved were not available from officials by press time.
