Man Charged in Xmas Riverview Burglary

Brandon Scott Constantine, 20, of 7800-block of Walnut Grove Road, reportedly kicked in door of a Riverview residence on Christmas Day.

Police arrested a Severn man on Christmas Day and charged him with burglary after a homeowner on the 2300-block of Research Avenue in Riverview saw him in his yard and found the side door of his house kicked in.

According to police, the resident returned home at around 6:25 p.m. on Dec. 25 to discover his burglar alarm alerting and a stranger in his yard who fled on foot.

Police responded to the burglar alarm call, and while patroling the area found Brandon Scott Constantine, 20, near Hollins Ferry and Hammonds Ferry roads.

Constantine, of the 7800-block of Walnut Grove Road in Severn, was positively identified by witnesses as the person standing in the homeowner's yard, according to police. He was charged with attempted burglary, fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property and has been released on bail.
