Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighters Elect Leadership

Kamenetz disburses $6.8 million to the county's 35 volunteer fire companies.

Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association elected new leadership at the annual meeting Sept. 21 at the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department.

BCVFA represents the 35 volunteer fire companies in the county.

Executive Kevin Kamenetz was on hand to disburse $6.8 million in checks to the fire companies, which is used to pay for equipment, insurance and other operational expenses.

Before the annual meeting commenced, AVFD dedicated two new vehicles into service, a 2009 Chevrolet pickup designated Utility 357, and a 2011 Suburban designated Utility 358.

The Suburban replaces a on Washington Boulevard near Lansdowne Station last November.
