During the period Jan. 15-22, AVFD received 55 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Jan. 15: At 3:29 a.m., a fire investigation was requested on the 900-block of Hooper Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded to find a small stove top fire that had self-extinguished.

Jan. 15: At 5:12 p.m., an apartment fire was reported on the 6300-block of Monika Place in Westview. Crews from the Arbutus and Woodlawn volunteer stations and Catonsville, Randallstown, Westview, and Woodlawn career stations responded. A bedroom fire was extinguished.

Jan. 17: At 10:38 p.m., a dumpster fire was reported at at 5401 East Drive. Crews from the AVFD responded and extinguished the fire.

Jan. 18: At 6:32 p.m., an electrical fire was reported on the 1100-block of Stormont Circle in Halethorpe. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded and extinguished an electrical fire in a bathroom.

Jan. 21: At 12:03 a.m., a tractor trailer fire with hazardous materials was reported on I-695 between Exits 12 and 13 in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career stations responded to find a tractor trailer with overheated brakes.
