AVFD Fire-Rescue Log: Assault on Wilkens Avenue

During the period Oct. 21-Oct. 28, AVFD received 56 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Oct. 22: At 1:33 p.m., a seizure patient was reported on Caton Avenue at Washington Boulevard. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One critically ill person was taken to a local hospital.

Oct. 23: At 11:57 p.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the 5000 block of Gateway Ter. in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded. A kitchen and dining room fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Oct. 24: At 8:22 p.m., a trouble breathing patient was reported on the 2300 block of Rogate Cir. in Woodlawn. Crews from the AVFD and Woodlawn career station responded. One seriously ill patient was transported to a local hospital.

Oct. 26: at 5:06 p.m., an assault was reported on the 4000 block of Wilkens Ave. in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and transported one person with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

Oct. 27: At 12:48 a.m., an inhalation patient was reported at Winslow Park Drive at Maiden Choice Lane in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded. One seriously injured person was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
