During the period Nov. 13-20, AVFD received 58 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Nov. 14: At 5:02 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on Magnolia Avenue at Patapsco Avenue in English Consul. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. Two seriously injured people were taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Nov. 14: At 9:38 p.m., a fire alarm activation was reported at UMBC. Crews from AVFD responded to find a small stovetop fire that had self-extinguished.

Nov. 15: At 6:22 p.m., an apartment fire was reported on the 1100-block of Courtney Road in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus, English Consul, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Westview career stations responded. A stovetop fire was extinguished.

Nov. 17: At 6:47 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on I-695 between Exits 12-13 in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Woodlawn volunteer stations responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.

Nov. 18: at 5:05 p.m., an assault with injury was reported on the 6100-block of Rich Avenue in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career station responded. One critically injured person was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
