Here's a list of the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department's recent activity.

During the period Mar. 10-17, AVFD received 64 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Mar. 11. At around 6:15 p.m., a high-rise aerial rescue was reported at Cherrydell Road at Frederick Road in Catonsville. Crews from AVFD and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to find a person who had been stuck in a tree, but self-extricated.

Mar. 12: At around 8:23 p.m., a building fire was reported on the 3600 block of Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe. Crews from the Arbutus, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to find a malfunctioning heater belt.

Mar. 12: At around 10:20 p.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the 3200 block of Tartarian Court in Baltimore Highlands. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus, English Consul and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded and extinguished a townhouse fire.

Mar. 13: At around 1:15 a.m. an auto fire was reported on the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations responded and extinguished the fire.

Mar. 15: At around 11:22 a.m., a report was made that a gas line was struck  on the 1200 block of Ten Oaks Road in Arbutus. Crews from AVFD and Halethorpe career stations responded and secured the area for BGE.
