During the period Oct. 30-Nov. 6, AVFD received 70 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Nov. 1: At 1:43 a.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the 6700-block of Ducketts Lane in Howard County. 43 a.m. Nov. 1. A . Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded and assisted Howard County units with extinguishing a house fire.

Nov. 1: At 6:15 a.m. a carbon monoxide alarm was reported on the 1200-block of Stevens Avenuein Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded to find a malfunctioning furnace and low levels of carbon monoxide.

Nov. 2: At 10:15 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on East Drive at Sulphur Spring Road in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded to find property damage, but no injuries.

Nov. 2: At 5:09 p.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the 1300-block of Birch Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to find a clogged dryer vent, but no fire.

Nov. 4: At 2:28 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on Beechfield Avenue at Wilkens Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Lansdowne volunteer station responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.
