Armed Robbery Reported in Lansdowne

Money and cigarettes taken at gunpoint just after midnight on Monday, according to police.

A Lansdowne man was robbed at gunpoint just after midnight on May 14, acccording to police.

The hold-up occurred about 12:40 a.m. as the victim, who lived on the 3300 block of Washington Boulevard, was near the intersection of Lansdowne Road and Alco Place, police said.

The victim told investigators that three men exited a red four-door vehicle and displayed a black semiautomatic handgun with a brown wood handle, and demanded money. The suspects took $20 in cash and a pack of Newport cigarettes before fleeing in the sedan.
