Arbutus Woman Found Dead

No signs of foul play in death of 57-year-old Linda Diano.

An Arbutus woman was found dead on the rear steps of an apartment building on the 1000-block of Maiden Choice Lane early on the morning of Dec. 22, according to police.

Linda Diano, 57, of the 900-block of Elm Ridge Road, was found by police responding to a cardiac arrest call at around 12:09 a.m., officials said.

Police found a female slumped over on the steps of an apartment building behind the Maiden Choice Lane address. There were no signs of foul play, and Diano still had her purse and personal property, police spokesperson Cathy Batton said.

According to Batton, Diano was last seen alive in the area around the apartment building at around 8 p.m. on Dec. 21.

Diano was transported to the medical examiner's office for autopsy. A cause of death is pending the outcome of postmortem examination and toxicological testing, Batton said.
