Editor Leaving Arbutus and Catonsville Patch

Ending two-plus years with Patch.

After more than two years with Patch, I have decided to move on to new things. My last day as editor of Arbutus and Catonsville Patch is Tuesday, Nov. 13.

On Wednesday, I begin a new job as special assistant to the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Maryland. One of my responsibilities will be media relations.

Serving as editor of Arbutus and Catonsville Patch has given me the opportunity to learn more about my community and the people who make it great. The experience has been very gratifying, both professionally and personally.

I hope that I've been able to contribute by informing people about things they want to know, covering local issues, and providing a place where people connect and discuss things that matter. I told some stories and took some pictures.

It's been a privilege to work with a group of energetic, talented and dedicated journalists and editors at Patch.

Although I'm leaving Patch, I'm not leaving the community. I intend on having a presence by blogging at Patch, so this isn't the last you've heard from me.

As for what's next for Arbutus and Catonsville Patch, I'll leave the introductions to my successor.

And while I've made many good friends over the last couple of years, I don't want to see any of you showing up at my new place of work—if you know what I mean.

For those who wish to keep in touch, I can be reached through Facebook.
