Uh oh - Another Red Flag Going Up Peoples

Whatever made a number of us think “change” could only represent something positive?  Bet there will be some real deep thinking before you jump on that again!

OK Gang -  are the folks, namely our President and the White House Administration, playing “psych” games or what???  Did our President just throw one of our great allies (Israel) under the proverbial “bus?”  More important, are we (Congress) going to permit the darling to get away with it?  Is there a hugely notable silence of the “great” media regarding this perceived arrogance or what?  Am I overly concerned or more to the point- actually alarmed and for excellent reasons?  I know, I know – you’re thinking – “…there she goes again…”

Somehow, my little “blog” title, “Perceptions of a Worker Bee” is just too cutesy to describe the anxiety and downright distress I feel at what I perceive to be an outward display of arrogance coming from the highest office in our land. And to what do we owe this honor?  Oh my dear friends and neighbors, I perceive the word “change” to have taken on a whole new meaning with this current administration—a word, that in the future, will bring shudders of grief to our memories.  The “new world order” enthusiasts have found the perfect group of little “darlings” in Washington to push their agenda. 

We are a very young country -  so young on the horizon- a blip in the history of the world.  But what a magnificent “blip” we are.   Fear mongering is not a game I promote – but close attention to the volcanic direction our wonderful country is being slowly tugged toward is certainly called for. 

Just a small part of my background that perhaps feeds my anxiety…..I recall a brief visit to Cuba after the Castro revolution and before the iron curtain fell – and some folks on the island I had a conversation with who bragged about communism and the social wonders it would bring to the people of Cuba.  (Little did they know at the time that they were actually going to provide Castro with, what I perceived to be his own personal “plantation.”)   And then, they said something to me (I was only 19 at the time) that I thought was utterly laughable – at the time, that is.   They exclaimed with great pride that these “changes” would also take place in the U.S.A.  I argued the point that “changes” in that direction could never, ever happen in my country --- we were much too blessed.  They freely declared  that “…first we will get into your schools…”  That was inconceivable to me at the time – nevertheless, it stayed with me deep inside all these years.  As I observed "changes" through the years – some subtle – some not so subtle in the focus of our education system all the way to some of our great universities, I came to realize this was not a “Cuban” thing -  this was part of an ideological process –focused on a “new world order” by any other name - bonding of a process dependent upon a weak link or links within our system as a whole. 

And so I ask – not as an alarmist, but as the older version of that young girl so long ago who had so much faith in not only who we are, the principles we stand for, but that our noble people will  never permit our great and honorable country to be thrown under the bus.  I now perceive that it comes in steps, with great patience and then the pounce, ---the blindsiding of Israel being an excellent example.  As they said in the terrific movie, Forrest Gump - “..Run Forrest, Run..”  from those who might try to further blindside us – or better yet, I suggest we stop, turn and land a swift, but certain kick in their proverbial hind parts via the voting polls, of course.  Ye Gads!!! The old sign is going back up on the lawn in the not too distant future – for all political persuasions who are pro-America---- REMEMBER TO REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!  And I thought it was “rest time” for a while – yikes!!!
