CIA Operatives Still Under the "Holder" Gun.....Another Perception from the Retired Worker Bee

Good Grief!  Did I just mention how pleased I am to  have the opportunity to "blog" on occasion.  Now, what am I to do?  I only  just finished my first blog and here comes information down the pike that President Obama- upon being asked by Debra Burlingame (sister of the Capt. of the flight the terrorists flew into the Pentagon that fateful day in September 01) to share his thoughts with Holder regarding the strong-willed decision to continue the CIA operative investigation (the CIA folks who helped retrieve  information that assisted in successfully  destroying   bin Laden) - he simply said: "....I won't" and walked away. 

OK gang - can I walk away from that?  Uhhhh - probably not!  You see when our President stood shoulder to shoulder with his administration that fateful day (May 1) and stood his  ground on our behalf,  with a decision that was correct, all the while  knowing it could go terribly wrong - he made us proud of him for that moment but most of all reinstituted for the world.... the mantra etched in our hearts on 9/11 by President Bush....."...for as long as it takes."

Now we have another task to address and do so succinctly with apologies to no one....Mr. Holder you can drop the possible CIA prosecution effort- quietly, very quietly, but just do it!!!  It is my perception that your career will be on the line even quicker,  otherwise.  It is just a perception, mind you, but I think folks are very, very tired of decisions that might/will heighten the morale of our declared enemies here and abroad.   I perceive that we the people interpret these decisions as a fool hardy game that endangers our men and women in uniform and our worker bees at home. 

Enough is enough!!  The President probably should have rethought walking away from Ms. Burlingame - it would only  have taken another moment of his time.   To walk away was an unfortunate decision and one that clearly will put the issue at the top of the list for  required answers to the people.  The political "bump" in the polls, as many bumps come and go in politics, might very well be rocket speed short lived if he does nothing to fix it - now!  We did not appoint Holder -  President Obama did and we understand very well how that works in the meetings behind closed doors.

I want to say I feel a tad better again, getting that off my chest,  -  but the unfortunate Presidential gaffe  is still knawing at my stomach.  Hope we haven't taken 10 steps back!!!
