Arbutus Arts Festival 5/15/11….Bravo Bellissimo!!!

For those who attended the Arbutus Art Festival for the very first time and if you read my previous blog regarding my perception of what the Arbutus Art Festival will be --Told you so!  Told you so!   I know, I know, you think I am some kind of forecasting genius.  Of course I blush at the thought of being a genius, but this actually was a very easy call.

First of all, did Mother Nature bless the Arbutus Art Festival with sublimely gorgeous weather today or what?   And, as predicted, no sounds of babies crying – they were either gaga over the happenings around them or soundly asleep in the carriages, or in the arms of the Moms and Dads who were busy laughing, talking and enjoying…..small town America at one of its best moments in time.   Delegate Malone, as always, with his resounding deep voice, did not miss a beat in his announcements from early morning until close down time.  My great admiration for the wonderful folks who worked tirelessly to bring it off so beautifully.

 And so, content that Spring is truly here now that the Festival has pushed all the right buttons – smell, colorful sights, great fun foods, laughter, music (the beer garden of course) and the fantastic vendors and their interesting one-of-a-kind wares, I move forward enjoying the remainder of Spring and the coming of wonderful rays of Summer.  Ya’ll take care and most important......don’t forget to take time to “smell” the roses, ya hear?  :)
