Ravens Roost 97 is joining other area Roosts in a Tailgate Cook-Off at the parking lot of Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department, 5200 Southwestern Blvd. On Saturday from 12-4 p.m. The cost is $20, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting AVFD.

The annual Catonsville Fall Into Fitness 5K & 10K Run, 5K Fun Run/Walk, and Zumbathon begins at 7 a.m. at Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville. The event is hosted by The Rotary Club of Catonsville, CCBC and Baltimore’s Boys of Summer.

Relay Improvement Association is seeking volunteers to clean up the yard at Town Hall on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Worker fuel will be provided: donuts and coffee from 8-9 and hot dogs at noon. Volunteers are needed with rakes, shovels, chain saws, gloves and/or pickup trucks.

Baltimore’s largest celebration of remote control airplanes takes off on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30 at the Southwest Area Park Modelers’ Fly-In and Family Fun Weekend. Begins at 10 a.m.

Patapsco Heritage Greenway is doing its annual river cleanup in Patapsco State Park near the historic Thomas Viaduct Bridge off Levering Avenue in Elkridge on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon. Location: 5471 Levering Ave. in Elkridge.
